CalculateSycamore Library is seeking an enthusiastic, adaptable, and dynamic Adult Services Manager to join our team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will oversee adult programming, services, and collections while fostering a positive, collaborative environment. Education & Experience: o Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Library Science (MLS) or a related field preferred. o Proven experience in library services, program development, and/or management, with a strong understanding of best practices in adult programming and public library services.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
In depth knowledge of literature and programming for adults
Knowledge of ALA’s Library Bill of Rights and Freedom to Read statements
Knowledge of adult learning principles and IMLS 21st Century Skills
Knowledgeable and comfortable with current technologies and digital resources
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Sierra
Well organized able to effectively juggle multiple priorities , and consistently meet deadlines
Excellent written/oral communication skills and able to work effectively with others
Presents professional image within the community at various events
Solid presentation and public speaking skills
Able to drive a car and hold s a valid Illinois driver’s license
