Adult Services Assistant

Chicago Ridge Public Library is hiring a friendly, dependable and outgoing individual to join our Adult Services team. The Adult Services Assistant will work at our public desk helping reference staff assist patrons in person and over the phone. 

Specific duties may include:

• Helping patrons perform basic internet searches, use Microsoft Office applications, access email and download/upload documents;

• Troubleshooting and assisting with our printer, copier and scanner;

• Assisting patrons with basic functions on their phones, tablets and laptops;

• Using the library catalog to help patrons locate materials and place holds. 

All candidates must have a high school diploma or the equivalent, established computer skills and an interest in technology. Customer service experience preferred. Some college preferred – this could be an ideal position for a current college student with a flexible schedule.
