Adult Maker Associate

Glen Ellyn Public Library is looking for a friendly and creative Adult Maker Associate to assist library users in the library's makerspace, The Workshop. Duties may include supporting and training library users on maker equipment, such as laser cutting, 3D printing, design, and other emerging technologies, as well as contributing to maker programming for high school students and adults.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in related field preferred, or demonstrated equivalent experience 
• Successful work experience with maker equipment
• Ability to learn and instruct patrons on new and emerging technologies
• Working knowledge of two or more of the following technologies: laser cutting and engraving, 3D printing, digital design software, fiber arts, or other makerspace technologies
• Fluency in languages beyond English is a plus
