Youth Services Library Associate 2

Helen Plum Library seeks an enthusiastic and community-minded Youth Services Library Associate 2. The ideal candidate will:

• Enjoy interacting with children, their families, caregivers and educators in the Library and at outreach events
• Have experience leading youth library services and programs, preferably for elementary aged students 
• Have experience recommending books and other Library resources to youth, their families, caregivers, and educators
• Provide excellent public library service
• Communicate authentically, transparently, and clearly

Helen Plum Library is a mid-sized suburban public library that serves over 43,000 residents. Since opening our new facility in 2023, our local impact has grown significantly. (Visit our website for a virtual tour.) 

**Minimum Qualifications: **

• Bachelor’s Degree, LTA, or relevant experience 

**Hours: **24 hours/week; including at least one night a week and a monthly Friday night, Saturday, and Sunday rotation

• Possible Schedule: 
• Monday: 9am-1pm
• Tuesday: 5-9:15pm
• Wednesday: 9am-1pm
• Thursday: 9am-5pm
• Friday: 9am-1pm

**Beginning salary: **$22.63-28.29 per hour, depending on qualifications. $28.29 is the midpoint of the pay grade. Starting at or above the midpoint is reserved for candidates who exceed the minimum qualifications and have significant relevant experience
