If you like working with children, we want to work with you! The Frankfort Public Library District is looking for a new Youth Services Assistant.

Responsibilities

Provides consistent, gracious, and friendly service to internal and external customers.
Assists patrons in the full use of the Library and its digital and print resources, including reference service at all levels, readers advisory, and downloading digital content.
Provides instruction to patrons regarding the use of library equipment, software applications on Library and personal devices, Internet resources and social media, eReaders, tablets, and other related technologies.
Plans, implements, and evaluates quality programming for children, teens, and families.
Creates and evaluates bibliographies, displays, and other marketing materials.
Contributes and maintains content for the Library website and social media as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Two years of college or LTA Certificate.
Minimum one year of customer service experience; library experience preferred, experience working with children preferred.
Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
The ability to communicate effectively, use good judgment in the decision making process, and work both independently and as part of a team.
STEAM programming experience and/or Spanish language fluency a bonus
