SENIOR LIBRARIAN

(Pinellas County-funded position)

Description of Work:

This is skilled professional library work managing the daily operations of the Court’s law library in Pinellas County.  The person in this position serves as advisor to the Chief Judge, Trial Courts Administrator, and the Pinellas Law Library Board of Trustees on emerging trends in legal research, controlling library costs, and effective public service efforts.   The person in this position spends a significant portion of the day providing one-on-one reference services for library users, including attorneys, litigants, and the general public. The successful candidate must also work independently as a solo library practitioner and manage the day-to-day operations of the library including budgeting, purchasing, requisition, maintenance issues, etc. All work is performed under the general supervision of the Trial Courts Administrator or his/her designee.

Minimum Training and Experience Required:

Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science or Information Systems preferred.  Two years of work experience in library operations or conducting research. Location: Clearwater Historic Courthouse    324 S. Fort Harrison Avenue; Clearwater, FL 33756 Salary: $1,793.35 Biweekly / $46,627.23 annually plus Pinellas County benefits
