Security and Light Custodial Services

Description: The River Forest Public Library is seeking a service-oriented team member to provide security and light custodial services that will ensure a safe and welcoming environment for visitors and staff. This position supports the Person-in-Charge team by patrolling the interior and exterior of the Library building and equitably enforcing Library rules and policies. Light custodial tasks include wiping down high-touch surfaces, meeting room setups/teardowns, and salting Library walkways.

Part Time:

18 hours/week: Monday and Wednesday 3pm – 9pm, and alternate between Friday or Saturday 11am – 5pm

Status: Non-exempt

Salary: $15.50 - $17.70/hr, depending on qualifications

Benefits: Paid Leave for All Workers Time (1 hr for every 40 hrs worked)

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
• Building security and/or maintenance work experience preferred.
• Experience working with the public preferred.
