Public Services Librarian

Description:

This part-time Public Services Librarian position provides library services at primarily the youth and teen service desks.  The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dedicated to excellent customer service, team-oriented, and passionate about working with all members of the community. 

Qualifications:

• Preferred ALA accredited Master’s Degree in Library & Information Science

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent library work or customer service experience required

• Candidates with Spanish language skills are preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Experience working with children and families

• Comfort with current information technology

**Schedule: **

• Monday: 5:15 pm - 9:15 pm

• Wednesday:  5:15 pm - 9:15 pm

• Every 3rd Saturday: 8:45 am - 5:15 pm 

• Every 3rd Sunday: 12:45 pm -5:15 pm

Benefits: Pro-rated sick leave equivalent to two weeks accrual per year

Employment requires a criminal background check at library expense
