The Lewisboro Library is seeking qualified applicants for a part-time Teen Librarian position.  The successful candidate should be a creative, energetic, and tech-savvy person who is passionate about working with teens in grades 6 through 12.  This librarian will be responsible for planning and implementing a variety of teen programs including a Summer Reading challenge and a Teen Advisory Group; collection development for the young adult area; community outreach with various local organizations; and reader’s advisory service for teens and their families.  Knowledge of children’s and young adult literature required. The position also includes providing reference services, reader’s advisory and technology help at the adult reference desk.

A Master’s Degree in Library Science is required.  A minimum of one year’s experience working in library teen or children’s services required. Proficiency with current technology and social media is essential. Salary range: $27.00 to 29.00 per hour. Benefits include vacation, sick leave and 403(b) retirement plan. Thirty-two hours per week with a regular schedule of Monday through Thursday 10am to 6pm. However, some flexibility is required as teen programs are often held in the evening and on weekends.

The Lewisboro Library is in northern Westchester County and is a member of the Westchester Library System.
