About the Position

This position requires:

• a mastery of the databases and the ability to teach and train librarians, educators, and other professionals on how to effectively utilize MAGNOLIA databases.
• the ability to create and maintain educational materials, including video tutorials and virtual training sessions, ensuring accessibility and relevance.
• promote and advocate for MAGNOLIA resources through outreach efforts across various platforms including social media, webinars, workshops, and conferences.
• excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences;
• experience with video creation, editing, and maintaining YouTube channels; manage and analyze usage reports for MAGNOLIA databases on a monthly basis, and maintain records for usage trends and statistics annually.

What you'll need to be Successful

A passion for teaching and ability to master use of the MAGNOLIA databases, paid for by the MS legislature, combined with an extroverted personality with the love of presenting to groups of all sizes, performing outreach at tradeshows, creating YouTube videos. This position is very forward facing to users.

Preferred Qualifications

Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 0-2 years of experience. Agency preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of experience.
