Library Media Specialist

Ledyard Public Schools is seeking a Library Media Specialist for Ledyard Middle School beginning in the 2025 - 2026 school year. Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the successful candidate will administer and maintain libraries or collections of information, for access through reference or borrowing. This is to fill an anticipated opening.

Qualifications: CT 062 Library Media Specialist certification. Bachelors from an accredited college or university in education discipline applicable to teaching assignment. Master’s Degree in related area preferred. Successful prior library media experience is a plus.

Skills: Extensive knowledge and understanding of the concepts, principles, and methodologies of teaching and learning and of current practices in library media. Ability to manage print, non-print, and electronic collections. Ability to collaborate with colleagues. Develop and maintain strong partnership with students and their families. Knowledge of library software and search engines.

Salary and Benefits: Per the Ledyard Education Association agreement
