Phippsburg, Maine Seeks Library Director

Beautiful, historic Mid Coast community seeks energetic, creative Library Director to take our small municipal library to the next level. Our longtime librarian is retiring, and the Library Board of Trustees is seeking someone who can expand patronage and programs. Strong Board support, ongoing volunteer program, and a 100-year legacy.

What we're most looking for:

• Passion for books and literacy
• Vision, with a commitment to hands-on implementation
• Initiative and follow-through
• Understanding of basic library science preferred
• Willingness to work closely with the community and Board

Hours: 20+ hour flexible week with potential for some hybrid work

Compensation: Salary currently budgeted up to $17,500 annually, plus some benefits, with the potential for an increase during the Town of Phippsburg's next fiscal year budget cycle.

An employee filling this position at an entry level should expect that an Associates level degree and 2 years overall work experience will be required.
