Library Director

The Ledyard Public Library seeks the next Library Director to lead Bill Library and Gales Ferry Library. Under the general direction from the Library Commission and functional direction from the Mayor, the Library Director plans, organizes, and administers a comprehensive community library program; oversees the care and maintenance of the library buildings, equipment, and facilities; performs managerial duties related to personnel, budget, collection development, and library operations; and formulates library policies and program recommendations for action by the Library Commission.

Master of Library Science Degree from an accredited college or university required; Minimum of four years of progressively responsible library experience, including at least two or three years in a supervisory capacity or equivalent.

This is a 40 hour per week full time position. Salary range begins at $80,000.
