As a library associate, you will deliver individualized research assistance to students and faculty, providing access to course reserves and online databases. You will perform all opening or closing tasks, including securing the floor during nights and weekends. Your responsibilities will include library account maintenance (i.e., overdue notices, fine collections, placing holds and releases, etc.); policy enforcement; and processing inter-library loans, donations, or new items. You will also be responsible for maintaining the book stacks, including shelving, shelf reading, collection shifting, and curating book displays. Among other duties, you will also assist with promotional outreach and will communicate any issues or concerns to the head librarian.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or universityWork Hours: The university work week is Sunday through Saturday. Most offices are open Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. To accommodate business needs, employees may be assigned to other workdays and/or hours, including weekends and evenings.
