Job Description
The University of Nevada, Reno is seeking a Library Assistant 2 for the University Libraries. **This position does not provide layoff rights and is contingent upon funding.** The Library Assistant 2 will join the Libraries' Course Reserves and Document Delivery unit within the Access Services Department, reporting directly to the Coordinator of Course Reserves and Document Delivery Services. Responsibilities include supporting the scanning and remediation of interlibrary loan and e-reserve materials, processing physical books received from other libraries, handling and mailing time-sensitive interlibrary loan requests, and providing customer service at the Circulation Desk. Additionally, the Library Assistant will oversee campus deliveries of UNR Library and interlibrary loan materials.

Required QualificationsGraduation from high school or equivalent education and one (1) year of library or clerical experience which included customer service; OR
The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm; this is subject to change based on organizational needs.
Compensation Grade
Grade 23 (Entry: Step 01 $18.88/hr. - Step 10 $27.15/hr.)
The classified employee pay scale is divided into 10 steps. Most employees start at a step 01 and are eligible for an annual step increase with satisfactory performance, until they reach the maximum, step 10. Initial step placement is based on experience and qualifications. Salary placement above a Step 01 at initial appointment is determined based on the recruitment, the candidate's qualifications, internal equity and budgets.
