Work Schedule

Work schedule requires availability on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays for 3-6 hour shifts.

Scheduled on weeknights between 6pm and 12am during the Academic Year

During the Academic Year, an overnight shift may be required for exam weekend

Pay Rate

$15/hour

Minimum Experience/Education

High school diploma, or equivalency, and two years of experience in library services, office support, or related field

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:

Bachelor’s degree.

Two years of experience working circulation in an academic library.

Two years of customer service experience.

Effective oral and written communication skills.

Duties and Responsibilities

Work regular service hours at the Library’s Information Research Desk.

Be familiar with library materials, services, and resources.

Provide reference and technology assistance to library users.

Help maintain library usage statistics.

Troubleshoot computer, copier, scanner, and printer issues.

Support library security in maintaining a safe environment for everyone in the building, and help assure library resources are secure.

Interact with everyone in a positive manner.

Develop good relationships with library users.
