Responsible for providing virtual and in-person research services to Library members, government and non-profit organizations, and Librarians. Plans and presents system-wide health, wellness, and medical information-related events, activities, and training. Maintains the Main Library’s Health, Wellness, and Medical collections. Creates content for the Library’s website and digital newsletters highlighting events, activities, and relevant titles in the collection. Maintains and enhances the Health and Medicine Page on the Library’s website, and related information services provided to Palm Beach County residents. Provides training to Library staff, the public, and special interest groups, orienting and promoting health, wellness, and medical resources. Represents the Library at local events, health fairs, senior centers, and community events.  Develops bibliographies for members and Library staff.

Education/Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:  Master’s Degree in Library Science (MLS) accredited by the American Library Association (ALA); minimum of one (1) year of professional library experience.  **PREFERENCE FOR: ** Medical Library Association (MLA) Consumer Health Information Specialization (CHIS)  Certification or medical- and/or health-related research experience; experience with public speaking/presenting; bi/trilingual (English/Spanish/Creole); two (2) or more years of professional library experience.
