Job Summary:

The City of Woodstock is seeking to fill a Full-Time Librarian I position with the Woodstock Public Library. This Librarian I (MLS) position is responsible to assist patrons in locating and using materials/information; provide information and collection development for assigned program area(s); and implement and/or maintain library resources and services. The work is performed under the direction of the Assistant Library Director or the Head of Youth Services.

Schedule:

The days and hours for this position are as follows:

• Monday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
• Tuesday and Wednesday: 11:00am - 8:00pm
• Thursday: 9:00am - 6:00pm
• Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Every Other)
• Saturday: 8:00am - 5:00pm (Every Other)

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Library Science

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of two (2) years library experience
• Proficiency in Spanish language skills
• Experience managing social media platforms

Please note that this position may also be filled at a lower paygrade (Library Specialist at $20.36 per hour) by a chosen candidate without an MLS degree, rather a bachelors degree and on track to obtain an MLS.

Salary & Benefits:

Starting annual salary for this full-time, exempt/salaried role is $55,025.57. Additionally, an excellent benefits package is provided including, but not limited to, group health insurance and IMRF pension.
