Digital Services Advisor

Our digital services team has an opportunity for a tech-savvy and customer-focused individual. Requires extensive interaction in assisting the public with all aspects of technology available at the library, including our digital media lab, The Studio.  Digital Services staff also provide occasional support to our Makerplace. 

Requirements & Skills

• Assist customers at the Tech Learning Center Desk with equipment use and provide individual instruction for equipment and applications including the internet, Windows and Mac computers, Apple & Android smartphones and tablets, the Studio, eServices and a wide variety of popular software. 
• A positive and friendly customer service attitude, excellent communication skills and a demonstrated ability to work effectively with staff and customers in alignment with Our Culture and IDEA.
•  Prepare and present public workshops for 1-on-1 and group instruction on technology topics

Education and Experience: High School Diploma required. 2-3 years college coursework preferred. 2-3 years customer services experience. 

Hours and Scheduling: Part-time, average of 22 hours per week. Weekday evening availability and every other weekend shift rotation required.
