CalculateAuburn University Libraries seeks an innovative, enthusiastic, and user-focused individual to serve as the Collections Assessment Librarian (Assistant Professor). Reporting to the Head of Collections, Discovery, and Resource Sharing (CDR), the Collections Assessment Librarian is responsible for gathering and organizing information used in the assessment of library collections, including providing reports and analysis to help inform collection development strategy under the guidance of the Head of Collections, Discovery, and Resource Sharing (CDR) and in collaboration with the Collection Development Group and other stakeholders. The person in this position will take primary responsibility for managing electronic resources for alumni and contribute to overall electronic resources management. This position works closely with other personnel in the Collections Unit and the E-Resources Team within the CDR Department, as well as the interdepartmental Collection Development Group that includes all subject liaisons. This position also works with library vendors as needed. This twelve-month tenure-track position requires professional and scholarly activity as well as service on library and university committees.
