The Mason Library at Keene State College invites applications for a part-time, non-benefited Circulation Assistant. Under the supervision of the Access Services Manager, this position is responsible for providing excellent service to library patrons at the circulation desk during evening and weekend hours. Evening hours are typically 4:30pm to 11:00pm. The applicant can expect 20-24 hours per week with a primary schedule of Monday through Thursday evenings. Some weekend hours are possible. Summer hours are negotiable. The desired start date is ASAP.

Additional responsibilities include performing routine circulation procedures using an integrated library system, staffing the service desk, supervising student workers during the academic year, keeping statistics, maintaining files, processing holds, record maintenance, data entry, additional stacks maintenance projects as assigned, and opening and/or closing the library as needed.

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Proficiency with computer applications (Windows, MS Word/Excel, basic Internet navigation skills)

Excellent organizational and data entry skills; keen attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

Associate's degree

Experience working in a library public services department

Experience supervising college students
