Job Description:
East Carolina University’s (ECU) Academic Library Services (ALS) seeks a Business Librarian to provide specialized library service to the students and faculty of the College of Business (COB) including five departments and the Miller School of Entrepreneurship, School of Hospitality Leadership, and Thomas D. Arthur Graduate School. This person will develop library instructional materials that support the curriculum, including the creation and maintenance of library research guides, and assist students, faculty, and other members of the ECU community through research consultations, library instruction sessions, and regularly scheduled research desk shifts. The person in this position manages a collection development budget for the programs and departments within COB; participates in accreditation visits and reports; manages an active outreach program to COB faculty; and works closely with faculty within the college to develop and assess the library's collections and services and to integrate library resources into teaching and learning. This person will demonstrate continued professional development and engagement with the business librarian community of practice. They will engage in library, university and professional service and may participate in research/creative activities.To support positive work-life balance, in accordance with university’s Flexible Work Arrangements regulation, a hybrid and flexible work schedule for this position may be available after a training period. This is a 12 month, fixed-term permanent position. Contingent upon availability of funds.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited program or international equivalent
